When I first decided to set up this blog, I was trying to think of a name that was personal to me and didn’t replicate what was already out there. I had no idea there were so many “foodies” along with the vast array of other “bloggers”, “vloggers” and so on. The real intent was to put down my collection of recipes collected since I was in my late teens into a digital format, it also meant a trip down memory lane visiting some old favourites. I’ve always been passionate about food, but ultimately, I chose not to pursue a career in food and studied for IT instead – I didn’t like the hours, all my friends would be out socialising and enjoying the nightlife of their youth while I was slaving away in a hot kitchen and grill. But that didn’t dampen my enthusiasm and I’ve been reading and collecting cookery books, magazines as well as tagging the plethora of digital content available to inspire my own creations. Some very successful and some that I try not to remember. Most of the food I was cooking was focused on initially, what you would probably call traditional English food, Meat and two veg as my Mum called it. But through travel and experimentation, I have developed an interest in most cuisines, especially the flavours of the Mediterranean and Asian food.
This blog is exactly that, my adventure into Spanish food but using recipes I know and love, as well as new discoveries.
I want to share my experience and knowledge with anyone that is interested or patient enough to take the journey with me. I’m ready and willing to support you with ingredients you’re not familiar with or maybe a dish you can’t quite get right. Whatever your question or recipe needs are then let’s share them together.
“There is too much talk of cooking being an art or a science – we are only making ourselves something to eat.” ~ Nigel Slater
I’m hoping to build a community of likeminded people, where we can share our love and passion for all food that titillates your taste buds. If you’d like to join me and submit your own recipes for publishing, then please Register Here and let me know your interests.
